Formulation and stability testing are the two longest items in a cosmetics project. In private label those stages are already complete, so the process moves straight to sample assessment and production planning. If packaging is ready, time to launch shortens considerably.
You can take a ready formula as a starting point and adjust fragrance, colour, texture or the level of a specific active to suit your brand. This moves far faster than developing from scratch while still giving the product a distinctive identity.
Private label suits placing a relatively small first order to gauge market response. When the product works, you move to larger batches with the same formula — and because the formula is unchanged, no new testing or notification is required.
